Write It Well…Together

Writing in community with others sparks something inside us. We learn from each other. We see that others have the same struggles that we do, even if they have more experience or their fingers have produced more pages.

Aside from that, we gain relationships that may last a long time, seeing us through bumpy roads and many final destinations.

Whatever your current project, come learn and write it well…together!

Coach Your Characters:
A Novel Approach to Character Development

Use a life coach’s lens to develop believable and compelling characters – ones that behave just like real people do.

People come to leadership and life coaches because they are struggling to achieve a goal. Like our characters, their beliefs, experiences, or worldview often hold them back until they gain new insights that shift their choices. In this new approach, you’ll use typical coaching tools to shape why and how your character continues to thwart his/her own progress until gaining the insight needed to make more effective choices. Use the coaching lens to develop believable and compelling characters – ones that behave just like real people do. Your reader will thank you for it. Leave the Workshops with a fresh take on character development and specific ways to improve your character’s arc.

This workshop has been delivered as a full day, half day, and a 3-hour mini version. It can be delivered in-person or virtually.  As a curriculum developer, I can design a workshop that is tailored to meet your specific needs.

What people say
"I appreciated a seminar that actually explored concepts that went deeper and taught principles to help in  our writing process and characterizations. I'm so tired of the usual seminar with six speakers who talk about dialogue, setting, passive versus active, show,  don't tell, point of view, etc... which is always good information for the new writer but boring as death to a more experienced writer.  I have never heard the concepts presented today and suspect it will be very helpful for anyone currently writing a novel, whether new or experienced writer.”
